Role Overview
Position: Volunteer Video Editing Officer
Location: Kano, Nigeria
Type: Full-time, on-site
As a Video Editing Officer, you will contribute to WIMROF’s mission by producing engaging video content that highlights the foundation’s initiatives. Your work will showcase the impact of programs in health, education, and livelihoods, helping to inspire stakeholders and broaden community support.
Responsibilities
- Edit video footage to create compelling narratives for campaigns, reports, and social media.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure videos align with WIMROF’s mission and values.
- Organize and manage video files for easy retrieval and archival purposes.
- Adhere to ethical standards, ensuring the dignity of individuals featured in video content.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro)
- Strong storytelling and creative skills in video production
- Communication and teamwork abilities
- Empathy and respect for diverse populations
- Fluency in local languages spoken in Kano
- Flexibility and adaptability to dynamic environments
- Basic educational qualifications: BSc, HND, NCE, or equivalent in a relevant field
- Computer literacy is a bonus
