Role Overview

Position: Volunteer Photographer
Location: Kano, Nigeria
Type: Full-time, on-site

As a Volunteer Photographer at WIMROF, you will play a vital role in visually documenting the foundation’s initiatives in health, education, and livelihood programs. Your photographs will help highlight the impact of WIMROF’s work, showcase beneficiary stories, and enhance the foundation’s outreach and engagement efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and edit high-quality images of community projects and events.
  • Work closely with team members to document program activities.
  • Create a visual archive for reports, campaigns, and promotional materials.
  • Respect the dignity and privacy of individuals being photographed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Empathy and respect for vulnerable populations
  • Proficiency in local languages spoken in Kano
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt in dynamic environments
  • Basic educational qualifications: BSc, HND, NCE, or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Photography skills with knowledge of editing tools
  • Computer literacy is a bonus
