Widow’s Mite Reach Out Foundation (WIMROF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering communities through sustainable initiatives in health, education, and livelihoods. With a strong focus on serving vulnerable groups, underserved populations, and persons with disabilities, WIMROF is driven by a mission to uplift those in need.
Volunteer Opportunities Available
1. Program Support Officer
As a Program Support Officer, you’ll work directly with communities to implement health, education, and livelihood projects. This role involves collaborating with team members to organize activities, assist beneficiaries, and ensure the successful delivery of WIMROF’s programs.
2. Photographer
The Photographer role focuses on capturing high-quality images to showcase WIMROF’s impact. From documenting community events to creating visual archives, your work will amplify the foundation’s outreach efforts.
3. Video Editing Officer
As a Video Editing Officer, you’ll create engaging video content that tells the story of WIMROF’s work. By editing footage for campaigns, social media, and reports, you’ll help communicate the foundation’s vision to stakeholders.
Volunteers will directly engage with communities to support initiatives in health, education, and livelihood improvement. Tasks may involve organizing activities, providing assistance to beneficiaries, and collaborating with team members to achieve WIMROF’s goals.
Qualifications for All Roles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Teamwork and collaboration abilities
- Empathy and compassion towards vulnerable populations
- Fluency in local languages spoken in Kano
- Adaptability in dynamic environments
- Minimum educational qualification: BSc, HND, NCE, or equivalent in relevant fields (e.g., developmental studies)
- Computer literacy is an added advantage
