Ronn Responds

In an effort to be transparent, I feel I should post Ronn’s e-mail response to today’s blog:

I wont respond to your rants. I am successful and great at PR. You arent. Thats life. Its hard to work hard every day. Easy to nip and criticize.
But in terms of our books, yes both PR Week and Odwyers review our books annually (ask them)… How does one enter the rankings ? So did INC Magazine. Care to correct yourself ?

“We work hard & judge performance by results.”

Hard to believe a guy who can’t even punctuate in an email can call himself great at PR, but maybe I’m nit picking.

As to my success, I’ll let my peers and time write the record. In my world, rankings do not define success…reputation does…and I’ll put mine up against yours any day Mr. Torrossian.

As to those rankings and their accuracy, opinions abound.

You hit a bulls eye when you noted the poor punctuation and spelling as being a reflection on RT’s professionalism. I wouldn’t give him any more time or play in your blog. He’s not worth it.

You win “hands down” in the reputation comparison. You are great at it.

Thank you! While I do hate to give him air play, I feel it’s important for more of us to speak up about these issues and show the world at large that our profession does not need to suffer guilt by association. Perhaps the next time a news outlet decides to do a puff piece on RT, they’ll do a bit of homework first and learn that he is not the ideal representative for our industry.

100 percent agree with Deb…you are not even on the same playing field when it comes to PR. You are a total pro and I am so lucky to count you as a friend and mentor.

Wow, thank you, Anne! I appreciate that. Right back ‘atcha. I’ve been very fortunate in my career to work with some fabulous professionals. Over time, they have become friends, mentors, and in some cases, clients. The duration and quality of those relationships is a testament to my career, and I’m extremely proud of them.

I work for Ann and Utopia Communications long distance, I have never worked with a more honest and forthright person. People with such negative words spewing from their donut holes such as Mr. Torossian are a dime a dozen. Ann and the few people in this world like her are rare diamonds to be cherished, not abused by people (I use the term loosely in this case) with less than reputable track records.
